Children from families with no church membership or affiliation are considered mission students and no tuition is charged for one year. To obtain mission status, parents and child(ren) must be interviewed and approved by both the Board of Education and Church Council. Because the spiritual welfare of our families is of prime importance, parents of mission students are required to attend St. John’s (White Creek) Lutheran Church along with their student on a regular basis. Reasoning for this requirement is not to demand membership at St. John’s, but rather to ensure our mission families will be receiving the Good News of salvation in more than just an incidental fashion. Attendance at worship at least 50% per quarter at St. John’s is mandatory for the mission student and parents or the mission status will be dropped and tuition will be charged for that period. Any failure to pay tuition may result in discontinuation of services. (6-99; 7-08)
